I am 25 years old, married to a wonderful man. I love anime, manga, video games....nerdcore, right here. I work full time during the week, a job that is great, but kicks my butt. I spent 5 weeks in India, training my replacements, essentially. Hooray for outsourcing. I taught myself how to sew, and I am still learning, I really enjoy making costumes, and I hope to get good at it. Any opinions, suggestions, or questions, I would be more than happy to read and answer. ^_^

What got you into cosplay?
I've always loved dressing up for different events. I really started doing it for Renaissance Faire, then I found Anime conventions...
What was your first costume and why?
My first "official" anime cosplay, was Lucy from Elfen Lied. It was easy to piece together, and she is my favourite character, from my favourite anime.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Up to date? I have not completely fallen in love with a costume I've done, but I would have to say my Princess Agitha costume, if I had to pick one. Then the Eva school uniform...next would be the Maburaho school uniform...just have to find the right wigs
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I really want to get into making more elaborate costumes. Big dresses...I'd love to do something from a Final Fantasy game, or Lost Odyssey. But I would love to do Suiseiseki from Rozen Maiden.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Good or bad? Well, for the bad...I'd say that I haven't been able to be comfortable in any costume I've made..and I hate that. Finding the right shoes is difficult. Good? Hmm...cosplaying as Princess Agitha...I've never had so many people take pictures of me, it was overwhelming, but it made all my hours of hard work worth it.
Do you participate in masquerades?
No I don't. I don't think I'm good enough to just yet...
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I have not tried to...I really just want to be happy with my own costume. I judge my own work enough...I wouldn't want someone else to.
Tell us a little about yourself
I have a full time job, and I am married to a wonderful man. We sometimes attend college to take classes on things we are interested in. Japanese, guitar..etc. My hobbies, besides making costumes....anime, baking, playing video games, and reading.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I am starting to feel like I am getting too old for this, which is so unfortunate. I had the opportunity to meet a girl who has been cosplaying for years...I believe she's in her 30's, she told me that nobody is ever too old. If this is what I'm passionate about, I shouldn't let my age stop me. I always try to remember that, and continue to improve and learn when it comes to cosplaying.
