What got you into cosplay?
At first I thought cosplay was something that I would never have to be a part of partially because I was intimidated of all the "good cosplayers." At the same time I was wary of how unusual it was compared to other hobbies. However, after my first cosplay experience, I made a lot of new friends and shared a lot of good memories with them, and I continued to meet awesome cosplayers and photographers, thus is my reason why I am still cosplaying. Cosplaying also further improved my sewing abilities, so I think I'll be sewing and cosplaying for a very long time.
What was your first costume and why?
My very first "costume" was just a light blue yukata at Anime Expo 2004 since I still wasn't into the idea of dressing up as an anime character at the time. My first cosplay, however, was Haruno Sakura from the Naruto series at Anime Expo 2005, only because my cousin and sister suggested it. The rest after that is history...
What is your favorite costume and why?
Right now it'd have to be anything that is comfortable and easy to move around in. This includes my more recent cosplays since my current focus for good cosplay has shifted more to maintaining overall comfort and practicality.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Actually, I'm getting a lot of them cleared out by 2009. :)
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
My favorite cosplay experience has to be making all the friends at AX05 that are still with me to this day. A bunch of other memories follow after, such as playing Truth or Dare at AX06, doing private photoshoots, all those midnight last minute sewing sessions before conventions, etc....
Tell us a little about yourself
I currently go to community college and plan to transfer into a four year university afterward. I have a mixture of way too much free time and severe procrastination skills. (The ending result is a nearly perfected lifestyle of reality and fandom, whoa.) My hobbies are akin to most human beings, for I enjoy sleeping and eating very much. I suppose you can say cosplaying is a hobby as well. Right now I'm making a wary face at all the plastic bags of fabric sitting in my room...
