What got you into cosplay?
I've always liked acting and sewing, so as soon as I started going to conventions, it came naturally to me.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Irvine Kinneas from Final Fantasy VIII, because I've always loved Final Fantasy games and Irvine's hair was close to mine. I was looking for something I could easily do without having to dye my hair. My mom wasn't big on that idea and I was too young to really argue on that point.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite costume to date would have to be Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin. I did it for Anime Boston 2004, and had a great time! The hakama was comfortable, my hair worked well (although I should have straightened it), and I've always loved Kenshin.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
YES! Definitely! I think I have two dream costumes: Cougar from S-CRY-ed, Wakka from Final Fantasy X, and Steiner from Final Fantasy IX. Cougar, because I just love him and it would be so much fun. Steiner since he's one of my favorite characters in Final Fantasy and just for the challenge. Wakka is just for the fun!
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I think my most memorable experience was the first one I had. I was just minding my own business at Otakon 2003, walking down the hall as Irvine, when I was tackled from behind by several Irvine fan girls. I was the only Irvine at the convention that day, so I got all the fangirling. It was fun!
Do you participate in masquerades?
I haven't, but I plan to in the future.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Nope, not to date.

I'm going to BU in the fall as a medieval history major, but I'm very much into art, anime, cosplay, writing, and acting.
