What got you into cosplay?
I first started making Renaissance Costumes for the local renn faire, then I started watching things like Sailor Moon, and anime, and slowly worked my way into making those kinds of costumes.
What was your first costume and why?
My very first anime costume was Sailor Mercury, she was the first anime character that I happened to like, and felt very comfortable being, the costume itself was probably a complete disaster, but I was happy with the outcome, and proud of it as my first anime costume.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Wow... Favorite costume... I don't really have one, I have a lot that I like because of the flow, or the way I made it, but I don't have a favorite. Right now though it has to be most of my Sakura costumes, because I like the way that the newer ones are constructed.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Ara... I think I've gotten most of them, however Clamp just keeps making more pretty things.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I was cosplaying as Black Magician Girl at Yuricon, and when I was getting on the train that night to get home, a whole group of little kids were like... Wow! Dark Magician Girl! It felt extremely cool to be recognized by a group of little kids.
Just recently though at Katsucon2008, 2 little ones ((not more that 4/5)) came up to me and called me princess... made me feel really squee~
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes, I occassionally participate in the masquerades, if I can find enough people to do it with me. And I like to compete in the hall cosplays whenever I can just to see how well my costume stands on its own, but I honestly love just making the costumes for my own personal best.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Had to be Icon-22 at Stoneybrook, our skit for the compeititon was completely adlibbed within 5 minutes, and it was absolutely hysterical... I would love to cosplay with the same group again ^_^
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Wow... quite a lot now.... mostly for craftsmanship.

Tell us a little about yourself
I'm 26, and a music education major, I just like to cosplay, its a hobby and not a full time job, though sometimes it does take up quite a lot of time, considering I make around 20-30 costumes a convention, yes I make mine and my friends costumes. I teach private music lessons and work at BestBuy to also pay the bills. I've been married to my wonderful husband Andrew for the past 2 years! <3
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
