What got you into cosplay?
My manager came to our company Halloween party in '06 as Inuyasha (one of his many costumes). I was impressed and we wound up going to MegaCon '07 as Inuyasha and Sesshomaru...and dragged along my sister as Sango and a friend as Kagome...who's sister we dragged to MetroCon '07 as Sango...who's son she dragged along, and made the costume for, as Shippo...
What was your first costume and why?
Sesshomaru from "Inuyasha". He's my favorite character on the show, and I had to show my appreciation somehow...
What is your favorite costume and why?
Sesshomaru. Considering it's the only one I've finished to date, but also because I normally have to either repair or re-make the pauldron after every convention (blame the flying fangirls), which isn't so bad as I learn where the weak points were in the previous one... Plus, I really dug building the Toukijin...too bad he ends up breaking it...but I've got time until the US release of that chapter...
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I have costumes I'd like to make, but dream costumes - that would've been the Sesshomaru costume...
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Honestly, it's the amount of people who want to take a picture...makes the work I put into cosplay worth it...
Do you participate in masquerades?
Nope.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No, but that's becasue I don't enter the contests. I cosplay for fun, and the weird looks of non-convention goes...ok, mostly the latter...
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a huge NASCAR fan, which created quite the problem considering both the Daytona 500 and Pepsi 400 occured on MegaCon and MetroCon weekend this year...
