What got you into cosplay?
Seeing some random girl dressed up as Hitomi from Escaflowne at Fanime back when it was at Foothill College. I just remember thinking, "WOW, that's amazing!"
What was your first costume and why?
Van from Escaflowne - It fit my inspiration for cosplay, and was fairly simple.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Probably my Advent Children Cloud outfit. The costume was pretty popular which was nice, and it fit me well. Most of all, I was a huge FF7 fan back in the day (though in hindsight, it isn't a very good game), and had always wanted to be Cloud. I'm just glad Advent Children gave him a new character design!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I don't know... I've been meaning to do Jojo or K' for a few years now.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Probably Yaoi-con. It's just a very different atmosphere, and it's nice to not have kids around (sorry if I'm offending anyone!). I was cosplaying Touya from Ayashi no Ceres, which is pretty, well, Yaoi-ish.
Getting into the Mercury News with my Cloud at Fanime in 2007 was also really special.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not usually. I sometimes have premade elements, and it's hard to convince me to get on stage - unless it's for a really cool skit.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I got 2nd at the SF Cherry Blossom Festival for my Auron (FFX) costume. I think that's about it, lol - I don't enter much, and my craftsmanship is often not up to par.
Tell us a little about yourself
Uhm... I work in political consulting, actually. I'm slowly working my way into Law school, and play some games, and poker in my spare time. I like to party now and then, too.

I'm not much of a reader, but I definitely like Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa; I suppose that's a bit of a weeaboo choice.
