What got you into cosplay?
When I first attended Ohayocon in 2001, I felt really out-of-place because I didn't have a costume. I had no idea that people cosplayed at conventions! So I made a costume of my mascot, Nekomi, for Halloween and wore it to the next Ohayocon, and also for CCC2. I looked like such a dork, but I really didn't care! ^^
What was your first costume and why?
My mascot, Nekomi, was my first costume because at the time, I was roleplaying on some online games as the character, and I thought it would be fun to carry that a bit further.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I think that the Dio Eraclaire costume I'm working on right now will be my favorite, but that's probably just because I'm in a Last Exile craze at the moment. -_-;
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Freya from FF9 - with a full custom latex mask, feet, and hands, as well as one of her awesome lances. I'd really love to do this one. Freya is such a strong and moody character.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
When I first walked into the hallway of Ohayocon 2002 dressed as Nekomi, I had no idea what to expect, but within ten minutes I heard someone behind me scream "Catgirl!!!" I turned around and she asked if she could give me a hug! ^^; I was a little shocked, but flattered! Several people also asked to take my picture, so I was really glad I dressed up for my first time.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I was a walk-on at CCC2 dressed as Nekomi, but it wasn't a great experience. Someone in the crowd yelled out "Who are you, Tigger?" during my walk-on, and not even my husband and brother voted for me. ^___^;; Hehehe, well, I didn't really deserve it anyway!
What was your best masquerade experience?

Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Nope, none yet, but I've never really tried either. I'm new at this.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm out of high school and attending art school next year. I delayed college for a year to get married in October 2004. (Yes, this was a planned decision long in coming!)
My family includes my husband, my cat, some fish, and a Brazilian rainbow boa (coming home in a month or two!).
