What got you into cosplay?
I was born on Halloween so I always liked costumes. I've also been a huge anime and video game fan all my life. Therefore, I decided to cosplay as my favorite characters.
What was your first costume and why?
L from Death Note. My friend dragged me to MegaCon 2007 to meet the guys from Red vs. Blue. That was my first convention. Most of the people I saw there were in some sort of costume so I felt a little out of place in normal clothes. When I decided to go to Jacon 2007, Death Note was starting to get really popular, so I quickly put together a white long-sleeved polo shirt and an old pair of jeans as my L costume. I also brought a bag full of Dum-Dum lollipops and gave them out to other Death Note cosplayers. I retired my L costume by the next con because Death Note was becoming way too mainstream, so it wasn't all that unique anymore.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Razor Ramon Hard Gay. There aren't very many HG cosplayers and it takes a lot of balls to cosplay as him. It's a really popular character but not seen too often, so it's really special. I'll be posting pictures of it after Jacon.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Dart's Dragoon armor from The Legend of Dragoon, and with the help of a Rose cosplayer, I'm getting it started.
Tell us a little about yourself
I am in college at the University of Florida in Gainesville. I'm a member of the anime club who's other members are also cosplayers.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I'm working on a Final Fantasy fan film titled "Live Final Fantasy". I've got all the props I need but I'm short on cast members. If anyone's interested, let me know.
