What got you into cosplay?
I've liked anime for awhile, but I only starting going to conventions in '06. I've always loved costumes, but at first I was nervous about doing something as "weird" as cosplaying. It didn't take me long to get over that, and by the next con (Megacon '07), I was going in costume.
What was your first costume and why?
Tear from Tales of the Abyss. I was obsessed with that game (and still am somewhat) at the time, and I somewhat resemble the character (I don't need a wig!). It was a fairly easy costume, and my mom agreed to make it.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I couldn't believe it when Utena fans started hugging me at AFO '07.
Do you participate in masquerades?
So far, only Metrocon '09. I had fun, so I might go to another.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No, but I was up against some pretty amazing competition.
Tell us a little about yourself
I graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in English and a minor in Japanese. I'm still hoping to write a novel or game script some day. For now, I'm working for the university and trying to stay sane.
