My names Kimberly. I'm 18 and a student at the local community college. I graduated High School on June 6th 2008. I have many hobbies from video editing, cosplaying, singing, writing, drawing and reading. I love being a leader and am currently vice president of our school's Anime Club.

I plan to be a full time student at Community College starting Fall 2008. I've been a part time student there since 2006. There I plan to take art and writing classes, work twords my assosiates of art and see what kind of future career is out there for me. I originally wanted to be a graphic novelist but now I don't know if that field suits me.

What got you into cosplay?
I've always loved dressing up as a little kid and pretending to be someone else. Later that evolved into dressing as Star Wars and Harry Potter characters and finally into Cosplay when the anime convention called Kumoricon came to my state and I got my first glimpse into the world of Anime Conventions and real cosplaying.
What was your first costume and why?
Princess Leia was technically my first, Halloween 1997. Then my first anime character was The Priestess of Suzaku from Fushigi Yugi Halloween 1998. My first real cosplay was Kagome from Inu Yasha for my first anime convention, Kumoricon, in 2004. At the time Inu Yasha was just airing on Adult Swim and the costume was simple enough for a beginner. Since it was my first convention I was scared I'd be the only one in costume and people would look at me funny, but I went anyway, and I loved the energy and atmosphere of it all. People called me Kagome and it was cool seeing myself as an Anime Character. After that I was hooked.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite cosplay that I have worn would have to be Princess Serenity from Sailor Moon. I've loved Sailor Moon since 1995, and it was my first. It was great finally being able to dress up like her to the extreme. The dress was well made and I loved the wig. I also got the biggest praise for that one. It was really embarrassing stepping into the convention at first like her cause everyone was staring and it made me feel weird.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I really want to cosplay Lina Inverse's OVA costume from The Slayers. I tried for Kumoricon 2008 but with no money and no time, it was impossible, not to mention there is so much detail to that outfit and I am not a good armor maker.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Being Princess Serenity from Sailor Moon because it caught everyones eye.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I haven't yet. We (My cosplay group) work on getting ready for the convention and help everyone else out with cosplay that we really don't have time too. But I would like to too eventually. For now, I just enjoy the watch from the audience.
Tell us a little about yourself
Right now I am a Senior in High School, going to graduate in a few weeks. Then I'm going to try to find a job and start community college as a full time student in Fall 2008. My hobbies are video editing, cosplaying, singing, writing, drawing and reading.

I'm an anime classic nut. Give me a 90's anime any day!
