What got you into cosplay?
Ever since I was little I’ve always enjoyed costumes and theater, creating characters and stories out of fabric and thread. I was also always drawn to Japanese culture, so the idea of Japanese costumes is perfect!
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Witch Hunter Robin because I had a lot in common with the character. I wanted to pick a character I resembled physically to begin with and that had an outfit that I liked (nothing overly revealing or such heh).
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite costume is unquestionably RE4 tactical Leon Kennedy. I’m a huge Resident Evil fan and absolutely loved Resident Evil 4, with Kennedy of course being my favorite character. While I was a little hesitant of the idea at first since (obviously) Leon is a guy, ultimately I just couldn’t resist. Having my best friend going as Ada Wong and my other close friends the rest of the cast (Albert Wesker, Luis Sera, Ingrid Hunnigan, Ashley Graham…) just made it even more incredible.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Too many heh. Hmm... I'd love to try Father Tres "Gunslinger" Iques from Trinity Blood or Leon Belmont from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. XD
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Good question. Honestly, as simple as it may sound getting hugs from sincere fans of the character is always the highlight of cosplaying for me. Also, giving hugs to adored characters is my other favorite part of being with cosplayers.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I've always been- not so much too shy- but too busy at cons to enter the contest. I'd rather be out and about then waiting back stage for a few hours, but perhaps someday I'll compete. ^_^
