What got you into cosplay?
I wanted to make a Link costume for Halloween 2007, but changed my mind to Alucard instead. When I realized Anime Iowa was only a couple of miles away from my apartment, I tried to finish my costume on time for that.
What was your first costume and why?
I suppose I can say it was my Princess Leia costume I wore for Halloween back in middle school. Otherwise, I didn't start making costumes til about 2003 or 04 when I started going to ren faires.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I don't have enough yet to be picking favorites.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Raphael's costume from Soul Calibur 4. It'll be a challenge, but oh so awesome once it's done.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Just a couple of times so far.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I won Best Workmanship in the Neo category at Anime Iowa 2008 for my Twilight Princess Link.
Tell us a little about yourself
I just graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in cinema and a minor in art. With classes out of the way I actually have a bit of free time to work on costumes again.
