AWA 2008!

My weekend schedule is as follows:

Artbook Version Soubi - LOVELESS (7AM - 2 PM)

What got you into cosplay?
The fun and creativity of it. To be able to bring something fictional that you have seen in a manga, anime, a book or your own imagination even more alive and into a 3D dimension is an amazing feat. For you and the original creator. You feel that you have accomplished something - and that your creation, or a favorite character, can be more appreciated. Plus you may cause people who didn't know the character or series to take an interest into it. Meaning? New friends. :D
What was your first costume and why?
Hm. I believe my first costume was a Pikachu when I was eight. I think we all really start cosplay when we're young at Halloween - it just eventually turned into a hobby of mine that I fell in love with. Anyway, back on topic, I think the reason I chose Pikachu was 1. He was just so darn cute. 2. I'd finished Pokemon Yellow for the Gameboy Color (which I am playing again now - haha) and wanted to waddle around following a random person in the mall.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite costume I've had so far is probably the one of L from Death Note. It was simple, and one I didn't have to make from scratch. Plus who doesn't love walking about hand cuffed to one of your best friends (even if we did get indecencies spewed at us from an older lady in Wal-Mart >>;)?
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I do. I would love to make a character of mine; however hadn't found the time to make it yet. -tear- Also I'd love to make an Alphonse Elric tin man costume, because who wouldn't love to be a metal man for a day?
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
For me memorable counts as the one I've had the most fun doing; and that would be the Death Note cosplay for Halloween this year. I finished Death Note back when it first came out, and finished the Japanese subs of the anime around last year (maybe a bit less than a year) and had wanted to cosplay L for the longest time. Sadly I didn't have a Raito until this year around three months before Halloween. Thus making my life complete.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm Seventeen, and living in South Carolina (especially a small town) it's rather hard to find many people that appreciate cosplay. Thankfully at my High School my old art teacher founded the first ever Anime Club. It's in it's second year this year; and we have nearly 70 members. It's still growing as we speak - which makes me happy. I work at a movie theater, and I enjoy every minute of it. As far as hobbies I love conventions, I love concerts, I love writing, I love (attempting) to draw, I love cooking (Vegan -proud-) and I love doing many other things. These include simple things like shopping and sewing, and complicated things like running around on the streets dressed as a giant Gundam.
