What was your first costume and why?
The first costume I ever made myself was a robe for a quickly thrown together McGonagall costume for the Half-Blood Prince book release. I don't remember what specifically it was that convinced me I could learn how to sew that summer, but I haven't looked back since.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I feel like which ever costume is my newest tends to be my favorite. Right now, though, it's a dead heat between Azula and Nero.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I've got a few pie in the sky cosplay ideas. They include: a cleric coat from Equilibrium, Mertuil's yellow and black dress from Dangerous Liaisons, Six's original red dress from the BSG miniseries, and Fran from FFXII.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I participated in masquerades at ACen as part of the UCJAS team from 2005-2008.
What was your best masquerade experience?
I've got two really great masquerade experiences. The first was at ACen 2006, when we came in second place...to ourselves (aka the UCJAS auxiliary team, Pretend Robot Pants). I also really loved my last ACen masquerade in 2008, because 1) I got to play Yoko from TTGL, 2) our skit was amazing and hilarious, and 3) the overall quality of skits was so high that year that we couldn't be sad that we didn't come home with a trophy.
