What got you into cosplay?
i already love anime. i just had to learn about cosplay. before i did, i had already made attempts to dress as characters from shaman king for halloween.
What was your first costume and why?
for a con: shindou shuichi. he's hyper and cuddly. besides, i knew i'd be crazy at my first con. i was also very interested in gravi and its music at the time, plus i wore mostly a strange combination of normal clothes, so my first costume wasn't particularly work-intensive (even though it kind of sucked).
What is your favorite costume and why?
so far my favorite costume has been L. it's the best looking one, and people took more pictures of it. but i'm a little disappointed because i didn't make any part of it. it was all purchased. the eye makeup was fun, though.
EDIT 5/14/08: Hoshakuji Renge! in many ways, i am similar to her, and completely different in others. so it's so much fun to exaggerate my personality when i cosplay her. and the colors are very attention grabbing; it's not the sort of thing i normally wear.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
there are so many costumes i'd like to make. i guess my cosplay dream is to just make one well. i'd like to do akito and wear the straightjacket as a normal sweatshirt. Touda will be a challenge for me. even though i wouldn't be making it, someday i'd like to see cosplays of my characters from the comic i'm working on. i'd like it to be an animation on television someday.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
at Metrocon 2007, i discovered a group of fellow L cosplayers. after a round of photos, one of them promptly grabbed me and kissed me on the cheek.
Do you participate in masquerades?
no (not yet).

i'm in high school. i draw. i plan to have a booth in Artists' Alley at Anime Central 2009. i blog on Livejournal.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
i like lolita fashion, but mana scares me. O.o i like daisuke asakura in particular, and any band associated with him (except maybe onapetz). i also like versailles and abingdon boys school, and i'm getting into L.M.C., thanks to red garden.
