What got you into cosplay?
A love of playing dress ups and a mental age of six.
What was your first costume and why?
I attempted a Haruhi costume for Animania 08 because she and I are so utterly alike. Bossy, energetic and full of conspiracy theories.
My first proper, finished cosplay is Battle Waitress Mikuru who I chose because I adore the design. I'm the complete opposite of Mikuru but it was fun to get into character for pictures.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Belarus! I love Hetalia and I especially love Belarus. She just doesn't get enough love...at least not from her Brother.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Plugsuit Asuka, definately. I'll have to wait until my sewing skills improve though, so I'll be waiting quite a while. Also Caterina Sforza from Trinity Blood.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
WORLD CONFERENCE 09. Or, the Hetalia meetup at Manifest 2009. So many memories from that weekend~
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Won the Adelaide preliminary for WCS 2010/11 as Gilbert Weillschmidt/Prussia (Austrian Succession version)...somewhat in shock and awe over that.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm in my final year of university doing a double degree in Indonesian and philosophy and I'm not quite sure what I want to do yet. My main interests are medieval history (and hopefully reenactment once I find a group near me) art (I draw, paint and embroider) and writing whenever the inspiration strikes me (which is unfortunately rarely)
I love heavy metal music, don't watch commercial television/Hollywood movies and I'm very, very left wing politically.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Ich bin so geil.
