Hi all! What to say about me? Well, I'm a costumer, artist, singer, writer, and you'll usually find me watching anime or playing video games when I'm not busy with other things! I also run Shadowmagic*Clothing which custom makes cosplay costumes, replica gowns and clothing, and retails good quality second-hand or new alternative clothing. (If you'd like to know anything about it then please PM me, I don't bite ^^)

I have a cosplay family, and a great regular family too, and always have time and space for one extra addition to either!

What got you into cosplay?
I've been with anime, manga, and video games since I was very young. I think the first thing I watched was Marine Boy! I had this crazy idea when I was small that I would dress up as characters from Pokemon and it turned out that it wasn't so crazy and people were doing it the world over!
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume actual costume was Misato Katsuragi from Neon Genesis Evangelion, which I bought from the internet (which I have now sold, but plan to make one for myself!). Misato was just cool and it gave me an excuse to call myself 'Major'! (I wasn't into Fullmetal Alchemist back then otherwise it would probably have been Lieutenant Hawkeye!) Since then I've always tried to make my own! The first costume I made myself was Yuna's gunner costume from Final Fantasy X-2, and then Lenne's songstress outfit from the same game. It's so much more fun to make them yourself!
What is your favorite costume and why?
The favourite costume I've made has to be Dagger/Garnet from Final Fantasy IX. There's just something about an orange catsuit (and scrounging the fabric from two orange tops from Primark) that makes me smile! Budget cosplay!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
For sure I would love to cosplay something mechanoid like Samus Aran or a Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 Hardsuit. My future cosplays list includes (in alphabetical order.. cuz I'm like that!): Chii- Chobits- (there are two dresses I wanna do!), Chocobo- FFIX version- mascot suit, Chrno- Chrono Crusade- anime version, Ladydevimon- Digimon, Princess Peach- Super Smash Bros Melee version, Priss Asagiri- Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040- Hardsuit, Rei Ayanami- Neon Genesis: Evangelion- Plugsuit, Samus Aran- Metroid Prime version, Shiva- FFX version, Zelda- Ocarina of Time version. In short, I want to do everything!! (my list is over 100 long in reality!) Mwahahahaa!
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Winning the cosplays at Recon 12th November 2007. I couldn't believe people voted for me! I won two great prizes, but I gave them away to a guy dressed as Kaoru from Dir en Grey, and a girl dressed as Sakura Haruno. I was happy with just the certificate, and it made my new friends happy too! And making people happy makes me happy! That ReCon all over was a great day, I met people in my city who had the same interests as me as was invited to join a cosplay group. Now I have tonnes of awesome friends!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Ummm... I don't know if the Tokyopop ReCon cosplays counts as masquerade really (there was really no catwalk). I hope to take part in loads of masquerades as it's so much fun to show other people your work!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I won the Recon Cosplays 12th December 2007 (my number was 14, and I was dressed in my Sakura Kinomoto (Avalon) from Carcaptors in her Green Fairy costume from the Time Card episode. That was BEFORE I found out it was a competition! (I should have remembered from the first ReCon, but sadly my memory is like a goldfish....) It's not an award, but when people say you SHOULD have an award for awesome wiggage- my Yami no Yuugi costume made me smile!
Tell us a little about yourself
School? Left already. Family? They're great. Job? eBay. Hobbies? Cosplay! Talkative much?
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Ummm... thanks for looking at my profile, I hope I don't bore you? (Haha if you read this far down, you probably know my life story already!) Also, something that may interest people is that I've started taking commissions for clothes and costumes (hence why I hardly ever have time for my own!!!) so that should prove to be extremely interesting!
My favorite anime
Chrono Crusade, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 are my faves at the mo'!
My favorite game(s)
Steambot Chronicles, Tales of Symphonia, and Super Smash Bros. Melee
My favorite book(s)
The Merry Gentry series by Laurel K Hamilton, and the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud. Manga I'm reading are: Maison Ikkoku, DNAngel, Demon Diary, Fruits Basket.
My favorite character(s)
Akito Sohma!! Male or female, Aki is a big favourite of mine! (watch this space for this cosplay ^_^ ) Anyone who knows me knows I love Zelda too, and am a sucker for pointy ears and strong females! (i.e. my other faves Samus, and Lulu from FFX!)
My favorite movies(s)
Fifth Element, Doll Master, Pan's Labyrinth, Memoires of a Geisha and I'm also a big fan of most horror films! (I still need to find one that scares me!)
My favorite actors/actresses
Without a doubt the lovely Audrey Hepburn, and the dazzling Mae West take it all. Second to them, I love martial arts extraordinaires Jackie Chan and Chow Yun Fat, and the lengend of Japanese films that is Kitano Takeshi (the "Beat")! When it comes to VA's (Eng. Dub), I appreciate the talent of so many (and seiyu's too)! At the moment I'm listening intently for: Vic Mignona, Greg Ayres, Monica Rial, Hilary Haag, Spike Spencer, Mona Marshall, and Laura Chapman... although there are many others I love! Don't ask me to name them all, you'll be here forever!
