Greetings~!

My name is Kurohane Shizumi. I'm currently 19 years old. My birthday is June 8th and I'm blood type B+. I've been cosplaying since 2004. I've been to over 20 conventions/anime-related events.

I'm a college student and work so my time for this hobby is rather limited. But when I do have the time, I try my best! I have an extensive list of cosplay I hope to one day do which you can view here:

What got you into cosplay?
Seeing everyone else cosplay and have fun doing it really made me want to too. ^_^
What was your first costume and why?
My very first /costume/ was a simple samurai outfit because I wanted to dress up but didn't really know which one I should do... My first cosplay was Duo from "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing". It was just pieced together with workable clothes. *laugh* I did it because I had his long-down-to-the-floor-ish hair and I have a boyish body.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Yuuen, I think, because it's the first cosplay I made completely by myself—hand stitched the whole thing—and it came out exactly how I wanted it to.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
One of my dream cosplay would be Mellon from "I Ernil ar I Káno (The Prince and The Commander)" because she has such a simple, yet awesome outfit. Also, any character from CLAMP's stuff. O_o;
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Someone recognizing my Yuuen outfit and even wanting a picture! ^_^ Yuuen is from "Wild Rock" which is only a manga so he doesn't really have much fanbase. I also get a lot of attention as Yazoo. When we went up on stage we were overwhelmed by the applause we got for them.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes! MetroCon is very good about hosting a Masquerade every year. And if you mean contests, then yes, I partake in those too. XD
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
"kin_sama" and I won The Pro Award (Best in Show) for our Kadaj and Yazoo at ChibiPa '08! I also won Best in Show at MizuCon '09 for my Maka=Albarn cosplay.
Tell us a little about yourself
Currently, I am a college student. My hobbies are writing, drawing, and reading. I am trying to become a published author/illustrator. You can even Google my name—Kurohane Shizumi—and find all of my stuff.
