What got you into cosplay?
That depends, again, on what you define as cosplay! I'd say my first signs of cosplay-itus surfaced in my early pre-teens when my Barbie, Stacy, and American Girl dolls became Pokemon Trainers and Digimon Tamers. Making costumes and finding ways to make stuffed animals look like Japanese monsters became a regular pastime.
So I guess, in some ways, my first favorite anime, Digimon, got me into it, though I didn't start attempting any costume till Sailor Moon.
What was your first costume and why?
I started designing cosplay costumes and pulling things together for them in high school, but I didn't really finish any, as I had no one to cosplay with, and my budget would not permit me to do a nice costume and still afford the convention ticket. :'( Just the same, I started Piroko from Megatokyo, and pulled together the means to make both Sailor Pluto and my own original (well, yes, it's been used in more fanfics than one can shake o-hashi at, but I swear I didn't read them before!!) Sailor Scorpio. None of these costumes have been completed, but they will be at some time in the future.
My first completed costumes actually came about last year, in college, and they were a number of various Renfair outfits. But this finally broke the ice- I am now working on at least two particular costumes in full, and have one close to finish (just need the wig), and have quite a number planned. ^_^
What is your favorite costume and why?
As I'm still working on my first complete ones, none at the moment.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
A few, of course!! Umi's final blue dress (does it even appear in the manga? I can't remember), and a number of costumes from CCS and TRC. The sad thing is, I'm such a purist that I couldn't bring myself to attempt to cosplay Sakura, and would want to have someone else wear the costume. *sigh*
Do you participate in masquerades?
I have been in only one, held here at my school. But yes.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Well, the whole thing was a little... stressed. But my outfit turned out incredible-- the dress my mother let me borrow was unmatchable, and I may try to steel it again for this year.

Tsubasa: RC, MKR, CCS, Crescent Moon, Lament of the Lamb, Genjuu no Seiza, Anti-Gravity Boy, Land of the Blindfolded, Little Pet Shop of Horrors, MegaTokyo, Naruto, Bleach, xxxHolic, FMA, Fruits Basket, Boys Over Flowers, Girl Got Game, A Thousand Years of Snow, Vampire Knight, Ookami ga Kuru!!, now this list really could go on and on...

Escaflowne, Ghost Hound, Mononokehime, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Bubblegum Crisis, Trigun, Digimon (older series), Fushigi Yuugi, Ranma 1/2, FFVII: Advent Children, .hack//, Avatar, the list goes on and on...
