What got you into cosplay?
Going to AX '95 and seeing all the costumers. My best friend said "That looks like fun, let's do it." And thus I was steered down the path of cosplay, and forever shall it dominate my destiny...
What was your first costume and why?
Umi from Magic Knight Rayearth. I'd just discovered CLAMP, I have a thing for blue and long hair, and I discovered that I kind of liked messing around with making armor and swords, since I didn't know how to sew... ^^;;
What is your favorite costume and why?
It tends to change as I make new costumes. At the moment it's Trance Freya, because, well, it's SHINY!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Oh, sure. Actually not just one, but too many to count. Someday I'll make them all. It may take me the next few decades, but...
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
That would definitely be AXNY. The combination of winning both Best of Show awards and being on CNN just completely blew my mind. I was completely unable to adjust to Real Life again for at least two weeks afterwards because I was busy floating on cloud nine. ^^;;
Do you participate in masquerades?
Generally yes, though occasionally I will skip years here and there, and there are some cons that I prefer not to compete at.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Um, see AXNY above. ^^;;
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
My cosplaying friends and I have together won craftsmanship awards in the Masquerade at AX '97, AX '01, AXNY, AX '03 and AX '04. I also won two awards in Otakon 2003's Hall Costume Contests, and Judge's Awards for Craftsmanship at PMX '04 and '05.
Tell us a little about yourself
In college, am glad to no longer be working at a job I hate, write fanfic in addition to cosplaying, and sometimes toy with drawing or making jewelry or hair ornaments. If I had more time, I'd have even more hobbies, but the ones I've already got are quite time-consuming enough as it is...
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Too many costumes, not enough time!

Twin Signal, Princess Mononoke, Chouja Raideen, Rockman.EXE (quit laughing), Yuu*Yuu*Hakusho, Rozen Maiden, Kamen Rider Agito (okay, so it's not anime, but close enough...)

Mega Man, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy Tactics, Kingdom Hearts... and Super Robot Wars, which I love SO. MUCH.
My favorite book(s)
I tend to have favorite authors, rather than favorite books. Though the Cycle of Fire trilogy by Janny Wurts is pretty high on the list.

Kurama, Signal, Rockman.EXE, Masaki Ando... um, I'd better stop now.
My favorite movies(s)
Lord of the Rings. Okay, yes, almost everyone loves that. I'm fond of The Shadow as well, which is quite a bit more obscure...
