What got you into cosplay?
I got into cosplay when I was 12. I was very new to the world of anime and manga because of Sailor Moon, and I remember in the Mixx Zine magazines I saw Sailor Moon cosplayers.. and I wanted to have a group to dress up soooo so badly. The want and need for cosplaying has never left me since ^_~
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was a really bad attempt at Zoisite from the Sailor Moon anime when I was 12. Why? He was my favorite character, of course =3
My first serious attempt at cosplay was Cassidy from Pokemon, but the first costume I finished was May from Pokemon, as well as a Pocky box costume I made for my little sister.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Kyouya Ootori from Ouran High School Host Club.
...... Because Kyouya is amazing?
Also Grell Sutcliff from Kuroshitsuji ^_~ Those two are definitely my favorite >D
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Oh man.. too many.
I currently have about five cosplays in progress... so... if that says anything... xD; lol
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Probably from Katsucon 2008. I had just graduated from my college in December... and I was nothing but depressed. Also.. I hadn't been to an anime con in over two years, so when my friend invited me to come along two weeks before the con, I declined.. simply because I didn't think I would be able to afford having to take the time off of work. But then.. I decided I had to go... and I immediately began working on a costume and asked if the invitation was still open. Indeed it was! And so began my Katsucon adventures!
... I guess to get to the point, Katsucon 2008 was a memorable cosplay experience.. because I hadn't made a new cosplay or been to a convention in over two years..... So this experience was a wonderful breath of fresh air.
And also, who doesn't love Ryuichi Sakuma in his Kumagoro outfit? ^_^
Do you participate in masquerades?
I love to whenever I can ^_^ My two most recent have been at Otakon 2009 ( "A Dance with the Red Butler" ) and Katsucon 2009 ( " So You Wanna Be a Death Pirate?" )
What was your best masquerade experience?
They're all fun =D Haha... The planning process.. the perfomance.... I love all of it ^^
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a hopeful voice actor.. and I try to write and draw my own doujinshi on the side.
All things to do with animation is my life. The voice acting.. character design.. the actual animation... I love it all! Some people say I'm always living in a fantasy world.... so I guess that's one way you could describe me =3
