What got you into cosplay?
I enjoy the sheer volume and entertainment of video games, anime, &manga. I participated in an Anime convention &to my marvel i witnessed not only people like myself, but the enjoyment of people bringing everything they've grown to love into life. After that day, i wanted to give it a shot & to no avail i enjoyed it more than i thought.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Edward Elric. Why? It was because of the never ending surprises and amusement i would feel whenever i read the manga and watched the anime series. Of course i could relate to this character, because him & i would seem like similiar people in comparison. I'm short,stubborn, short tempered, but in the same time a leader &strategic. My friends also enjoyed it as much as myself & wanted to give it a show. My 3 friends were Roy Mustang, Maes Hughes, &Winry Rockbell.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite costume? That's difficult to say. I would have to say that i love all of my costumes. My first costume will always be my number one in my heart, but that doesn't mean my other experiments meant nothing. Of course not. In fact, every costume has a story behind it. That is why i absolutely love each && every one of my cosplays. Recently i've been Orochimaru-Sama from the Akatsuki because i'm not in this Organization that i officially joined June 2007', it was called "Akatsuki INC" in which we cosplay ALL the members that feat. Akatsuki. If you live in Florida, then chances are you'll see us roaming the vendor floors. Watch out!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I can't say that i do, i can't say anyone else does either. Dream costumes are costumes that appeal to all cosplayers. It's something that makes them urge to try and defy all others, but then there will be another.. &another. I like to take my costume that i make slow and paceful manner, there are costumes i'd like to try but none to be considered, "Dream".
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Metrocon 07' has to be the most memorable expereince for me in the last 2 years of cosplaying && participating in conventions. I enjoyed the huge mass of the actual convention. The whole convention center was the convention, meaning it was THE largest anime convention in Florida as well. It was the weekend where i was with all my good friends and had the best time in the longest time. My long vacation from life && i would trade anything to experience it again..&again. The rave was like no other and just seeing everyone there was the best. I meet people there that i see now in every convention, &i believe it's wonderful to make friends with people who you get along with SO well. Do you participate in masquerades?
Do i? I love to. It's simply exquisite, however most nowadays are either cancelled or not enough people to be considered, "Masquerade balls". I just love for one night, people can show off their cosplays in a manner that is unlikely and approach people like total strangers and dance the night away.
What was your best masquerade experience?
My best masquerade experience would have to be at Chibi-Pa when there were actually people dressed in their formal wear and danced so beautifully with their partners. It seemed like it wasn't a convention anymore or it was anime, it appeared to be everyone just taking a mini break from all the insane action and enjoying themselves with the sound of enchanting music. It was wonderful for the first 30-45 minutes until, people decided that it was "dull" and "pointless", &it turned into a normal dance party.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes, I won best group cosplay with my costume Orochimaru-Sama from Naruto @ Yasumicon 07'. I helped with the organization && we all won the best group. We, Akatsuki INC, assumed with the way things went in the last convention we participated, we'd would lose because of younger children competing. Nevertheless we won fair && square it was wonderful to finally win without any unfair judgement.
