The SOS Brigade

We're a brother-sister cosplay team, which has turned out to be great for theme cosplays. X'D We'll both be entering our second cosplay season in January 2009, and we really hope to step up our cosplays and tackle more difficult costumes, along with entering masquerades and maybe even leading some panels. ;D

Some cosplays we have planned:

Raen: Miku Hatsune, Ulquiorra Schiffer, Haruhi Suzumiya, Road Kamelot (spelling D8), Byakuya Kuchiki, and Rukia School Uniform version.

Aiko: Kaito, Grimmjow Jaggerjack, Kyon, Tyki Mikk, Anbu Kakashi, and Light Yagami.

Among many, many more!

What got you into cosplay?
Raen: Friends and Halloween did it for me. I've always loved dressing up as characters, and then after going to my first comic convention with a friend, I was hooked. Aiko: It started when I went to PCC 07. I admit, I was scared at first XD But then, after being there awhile, I was totally in love! Although, I always was interested in dressing up.
What was your first costume and why?
Raen: My first "technical" cosplay was Rikku from Final Fantasy X, which was a Halloween csotume. Mainly because I was obsessed with the game, and because her outfit was fairly basic. But for my first true cosplay, I was Tifa Lockhart from FFVII: Advent Children. Aiko: Well, the first costume I made was Cloud Strife From FFVII: Advent Children. But the first costume I wore to a convention was Willy Wonka! X3
What is your favorite costume and why?
Raen: My Soi Fong cosplay! :D It's comfortable, and the character is kick-ass! Aiko: Probably Ichigo ;D
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Raen: Too many. D8 I really would love to cosplay as Lightning from FFXIII, and the Vocaloid Miku Hatsune, and Inner Hollow Ichigo, too! Alas, the latter will never happen... v.v Aiko: I have many dream cosplays! Just to name a few are Akito/Agito (Air Gear), Light Yagami (Death Note), Axel (Kingdom Hearts), and Kyo (Dir en grey).
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Raen: Definitely Cactus Comicon 08, because that was the first convention I wore my Tifa costume to! Aiko: Either Cactus Comicon 08 or AZ Matsuri 08! XD I really loved wearing Ichigo, even though I did spill sauce on the sash T.T
Do you participate in masquerades?
Raen: Not yet, but someday! Aiko: At PCC I had someone ask me to be in their FFVII masquerade, but then I went as L that day, so I wasn't in (obviously!). But someday, I for sure wanna enter one ;D
Tell us a little about yourself
Raen: Cosplaying... XD haahaa. I also love to draw, dance, play video games, and write. Aiko: Cosplay, painting, fashion, watching anime, and there is so much more I'd like to list here, but I don't wanna hog this box ;D

Raen: Not really. >_> Aiko: Ah.... nah.
My favorite anime
Raen: Bleach, Black Cat, Hellsing, Cowboy Bebop, Mushi-shi, Samurai Champloo, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and that's it so far. XD I'm fairly new to the anime world. Aiko: Death Note, Air Gear, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, xxxHolic, Yu-Gi-Oh is pretty good too now that I think about it XD...
My favorite game(s)
Raen: Final Fantasy in general, Kingdom Hearts, Timesplitters, Soul Calibur, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution, Bleach: Shattered Blade, and Gran Turismo. Aiko: I don't really play games. But, I have to say I have a fondness for Kingdom Hearts I & II. The Final Fantasy franchise is also very lovely! xD

Raen: All my books on mythology. 8B Aiko: The Tokyo Look Book, I"S, Gothic & Lolita, Everything That Creeps, Death Note, FRUiTS, FRESH FRUiTS, xxxHOLIC, Legal Drug, Princess Ai, and so forth.

Raen: All the POTC movies, Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children!! XD And... The X-Men movies too, except for the last one. =| Aiko: Memoirs of a Geisha, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie! XD And that is all I can think of >w>;; I dun really watch movies
