What got you into cosplay?
I was messing around on the internet and I found several cosplaying sites and I thought it looked like a cool idea.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Chun Li from Street Fighter. I really love strong female characters and she's one of my very favorites.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite costume for now is Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi. I made the whole thing in two nights and it looked awesome.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
My dream costume would have to be an extremely involved Umi costume (from Magic Knight Rayearth). Probably one of the art piece outfits. Unfortunately, I'm not that rich.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Probably Japan Town Anime Faire 2003, because it really introduced me into the cosplaying community. Before then, I had just gone to cons and taken pictures. It was great for people to take pictures of me for a change!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not often anymore.
What was your best masquerade experience?
JTAF 2004. Yay for Shiny Things! It was fun dancing around like an idiot on stage.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Well, not for my costume, but Final Fantasy Shiny Things won best skit at JTAF 2004, honorable mention for skit at Anime Destiny 2004, and honorable mention at SacAnime 2005.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a graduate of UC Santa Cruz with an art degree and am looking for a job as a concept artist in the video game industry. I like to draw, roleplay, sing, and of course cosplay.

Full Moon wo Sagashite, Slayers, and pretty much anything by Koge Donbo, Arina Tanemura, Yuu Watase, or Clamp.
My favorite game(s)
Tales series, The Legend of Zelda series, most anything Capcom, and older Final Fantasies.
My favorite book(s)
Dragonlance books, Harry Potter, and anything by Terry Pratchett. I like Tolkien's stuff too, but for the stories only, not the writing style.
