What got you into cosplay?
I was messing around on the internet and I found several cosplaying sites and I thought it looked like a cool idea.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Chun Li from Street Fighter. I really love strong female characters and she's one of my very favorites.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite costume Jin from Samurai Champloo. It looks good, I had no help on it, and it's probably the most comfortable out of any costumes I wear.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
My dream costume would have to be an extremely involved Umi costume (from Magic Knight Rayearth). Probably one of the art piece outfits. Unfortunately, I'm not that skilled yet.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Probably Japan Town Anime Faire 2003, because it really introduced me into the cosplaying community. Before then, I had just gone to cons and taken pictures. It was great for people to take pictures of me for a change!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes I do!
What was your best masquerade experience?
JTAF 2004. Yay for Shiny Things! It was fun dancing around like an idiot on stage.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Well, not for my costume, but Final Fantasy Shiny Things won best skit at JTAF 2004, honorable mention for skit at Anime Destiny 2004, and honorable mention at SacAnime 2005.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a sophmore at UC Santa Cruz and I'm going to be an art major. I like to draw, roleplay, sing, and of course cosplay.

Full Moon wo Sagashite, Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto, Slayers, Saiyuki, Trigun, Hellsing, Cowboy Bebop, and anything by Koge Donbo, Arina Tanemura, Rumiko Takahashi, Yuu Watase, or Clamp.

Final Fantasy series, The Legend of Zelda series, Devil May Cry games, Soul Calibur II and most 2D fighting games (Long live Street Fighter!)
My favorite book(s)
Dragonlance books, Harry Potter, and anything by Terry Pratchett. I like Tolkien's stuff too, but for the stories only, not the writing style.
