This photograph was taken at a place we like to call Brookhaven. It's one of the buildings of a small townlike area herabouts where the roads are cracked and grass grows up on them. Here, the sounds of the highway can be muffled into a bizarre silence by the rain, and the dark burned out shells of buildings loom in the fog.

The day this was taken, there was a bizarre calm to the air, a rain that kept out the sounds even of the birds... and something was in there with us, I swear!
