This is what the result should look like. Note how the hair is kept parallel, ends even, and distributed evenly along the tulle strip (which is still there, underneath the hair, just barely visible.)

Important notice: At this stage, avoid pulling on the hair by all means - it's far from being fixed yet! Any detangling you need to do, do it when you're done with step 4 or 5, and no sooner. Otherwise, you'll ruin the whole weft.
