This is a progress shot of the back of the Big-O torso. Although it looks very unfinished in the photo, many many hours of work went by to get it in this condition. This photo was taken while adding the ribs to the outside of the torso; they are made of clear acrylic.
The ribs were not part of the torso casting because I wanted to be able to sand the torso in broad strokes without having to work around them. It was a good decision for the most part, although I was very worried about the job of bending and fitting all the acrylic pieces into place. Luckily it went smoothly and only took about 20 hours to get them all shaped, angled and glued on. -_-
The rivets are also very obvious in this photo - they are wood spheres cut in half.
