Actually, this is the finished product. Thought I'd put up some pics of the inside. The beige elastic actually stretches up around my head when I put it on so that the rectangles of foam on the sides press against my head with the elastic in between. The fused shadow fits tight enough to stay on my head on its own.  I could adjust the size of it quite easily at any point of construction by gluing pieces of foam to the inside or cutting them off.  But since it is front heavy, I found that caused stress on my face, specifically pushing down on my eyebrow and cheek, so I added a thick elastic strap that goes across the top of my head underneath half of my hair.
