This is one of my favorite pictures from the photo suite at Otakon. This costume is a lot of fun to wear and now that I have a Kurogane to run around with I might just delay putting it into retirement as I had originally planned at the end of the year ^^;;

I started this coat right after Otakon last year and finished it in January. I have worn it at every con since then and I really never get tired of it. But I'm sure other people are XD

60 yards of trim, 10 yards of white satin, 1 1/2 yards of fur. It is completely handsewn...head to tow. Why you ask? Cause sewing machines are terrifying XD I chose not to use them and make everything by hand. Takes a little longer but that doesn't really matter to me.

There are about 100 total hours into sewing on the design, the actually sewing it all together, and adding the fur, not to mention the other two layers that go with the outfit.

The staff is also the pride of my weapon collection XD I love how it turned out and I'm glad that so many people come up me just to get a closer look at it. That makes the hard work worthwhile.

I really do love this outfit and I thank everyone for their kind words at the past conventions this year as well as online. I really appreciate it ^_^
