Frank 1.0

Wireframe, mesh, and Super Sculpey. I was in a major rush and made the entire costume in about 10 hours for Halloween last year, but things didn't work out. For one thing, by the time I got done with the mask, it was too big to fit in the oven (sculpey needs to be heat-cured)! I managed to break it in half, cure it, get it back together, paint it, and only THEN did I realize just how ridiculously heavy it was going to be. Genius! Now that I have more time and much better resources, I'll probably make a better (and lighter) version this year. If I have the time, I'm going to try and make his eye glow like in the movie.

lol That is awesome ^^ Another option is model magic. Air dries, readilly available, and it's easy to work with. You can sand it down once it dries too.

Check out paperclay for your next attempt...it air dries, is sandable, and is very sturdy (I made wing/horns for my Freya hat with that and craftfoam/wire and had no issues even when I rammed into a wall a few times. x.x) AND is light weight.

Ahhhhh!!!!! That bunny scares the crap out of me!! I think the main thing that scares me is the voice though..well, the combination of the visual and audio X_X. Nice job so far, Sculpy IS heavy..but you can really decrease the weight considerably by bulking it out with tin foil, and I think Sculpy bake and bend may be a little lighter + it's like 100 times more durable despite being difficult to work with (gets very sticky). I'm sure there are better ways though.
