This shot was based on a particular piece from the Bleach artbook, All Color But the Black. Our favorite illustrations from that book are of the characters in casual clothes, which was the inspiration for this photoshoot. :) That, and the fact that we couldn't wait to cosplay them and our proper costumes aren't done yet, haha. So we worked with what we already had, and just grabbed outfits from our closets. :D
