Since I was finally able to save up enough money to buy myself my first actual digital camera this Boxing Day, I felt that it was about time I took a photo of my Luna jewelry. I've actually had all these pieces done for months now, but I've never had access to a camera to show them to anyone ... Unfortunately this specific photo isn't an accurate representation of the colour, but I'm still learning to use my camera, I'm using a Mac in the computer lab (I'm fairly Mac illiterate), and I'm feeling far too exhausted to sit here and try to figure out how to colour correct the damn thing ... oh well ...

Anyway, this essentially shows how everything looks, regardless of the weird shade of yellow everything is (the picture I took with flash made the large crescent moon look like a light bulb had gone off in it ... ). Pictured are Luna's earrings, anklet, and necklace w/ pendant. The crescent moon is made mostly of paper clay, which I sanded before painting to try and get it as smooth as possible. I'm still not 100% satisfied with it, but it'll do.

I'm actually fairly satisfied with the whole thing, with the exception of the earrings. I unfortunately don't have pierced ears (yeah, I know, I'm 23 and not a single piercing, what an outcast of modern culture I am ...), so I had to rig up something with a pair of little girl clip ons ... they're pretty ugly ... I'm hoping that if I coat the whole thing with gold spray paint then all that glue will be hidden ...

All the pieces in the picture were (for the most part) handmade by me. No, I can't make chain, but I spliced the chain with the gold beads and whatnot. Oh, and the double layer of chain is actually the whole length of the necklace doubled over for the picture. It's pretty long. I think it goes down to my belly button. ^_^

Anyway, lots of work to do before Ohayocon next weekend. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that I can actually finish this damn thing after all these months of starring at it, half finished, in my closet.
