Hey guess what! I made a costume piece out of satin! Oh wait...it's a flashy magician cape, I guess that's okay. And it's made of subtle, weighty, nice satin, not the costume stuff that wrinkles if you look at it.

Actually it was annoying to work with, not because it was slippery, but because it was super static-y and picked up a ton of lint and spare bits of thread and the like. Ugh! But somehow that all fell off without having to attack it with a lint roller...

P.S. a magician never tells his secrets, but a cosplayer can. The cape is held together by fabric glue, applied that morning less than an hour before going downstairs for the photoshoot. "Take 'n' make" indeed...
