This actually wasn't for any particular costume/character or anything. My English teacher just asked me if I could make a king's robe/cape/thing for her minister's birthday or something. She didn't think the $45 ones at the costume store were worth it, and the ones she could rent were really gross.

Her minister is 6 ft tall, so the cape is made of four yards of 60" wide velour. The total cost of materials was $20.
