This is the only photo that I have or at least that has survived (thank God for small miracles). As was said I was 14 and in the Masquerade at Comic Con....2000?

The red dress I bought and then had to alter like crazy, it was too big so I had to take it in at the sides, too long so I had to hack off two feet and re-hem it and it had long sleeves so they had to go. Kind of a funny note, the white part of the sleeves are old socks since I didn't have any while fabric.

I took some muslin (I think) and painted the symbol on it and then pinned it to the dress, the shoes you can see were my white graduation shoes that I also painted red.

This whole thing was actually hand sewed, I can't remember why but for some reason I couldn't use any of the 3 sewing machines in the house!!
