Gesso-ed helmet with flaps attached

Hotglued the hell out of the posterboard reinforced foamy shikoro and attached them to the rim of the batting helmet (which already had 2 layers of gesso on it). Gesso-ed the shikoro...will probably do at least 1 more layer before spraypainting.
