haha..me in my needs-to-be-reworked Suki costume. I'd tried for cool in the snow shots but my camera isn't so good anymore and my mother isn't the best of photographers...LOL
This costume is a ton of "firsts" and fails. XD! Here they are:
We (my boyfriend and I) literally finished this costume in my hotel room at Ohayocon. (hence the inaccuracies) This was also the first costume I drafted a pattern for (the armor. I'd always modified existing ones and I discovered it's harder than I thought! My respect for people that draft their own patterns for everything has grown a thousandfold.
I made the overcoat, skirt, and headdress. Overcoat is a heavy twill, skirt is a light cotton and the headdress is foamie,curtain tassels and cotton. Fans were basic paper ones that I painted.
My boyfriend sewed the armor for me..lol It was one of his first sewing projects and neither of us liked the way it turned out. I've since gotten a ton of great advice on how to improve it and I thank everyone who's given their imput. ^_^
