work in progress of Demyx' Sitar. the bottom part..

After rough cutting the design from varying thicknesses of insulation foam (and a piece of foamcore to make the beveling on the top the right thickness, I roughly assembled them together using spraymount. I used the template I created and incorporated it into the construction, since matboard is harder than say.. insulation foam. this image shows the raised areas, about to get its bevelling mercilessly lopped off, and sanded down smoothly with 120 grit & higher sandpaper (stay safe! wear a dustmask when sanding insulation foam :) )

next up will be making a mess and shaving and sanding down the back of the thing, then coat of masking tape (to prevent fiberglas from eating the foam), then fiberglass hellllllllolol.....
