Taken during a winter shoot at Kariya park - she was climbing out of a small pit (where in the summer there's a waterfall) and after a bit of positioning, this shot was set up with a wide angle lens for full on big eyes. :)

Also, by luck it had started to snow a bit (or we'd disturbed the snow in the trees above) creating a few flakes that really helped make the image stand out.

One of the awesome things about snow is that it kinda works like a natural reflector, making for a really soft look without even trying. It's just a pain to meter it - if your camera has it, use spot metering on the person to keep the camera from trying to make all the white snow darker and underexposing the photo. Okay, I camera tangented, sorry...

...anyway, thanks to Uta and the others at the shoot for freezing in the snow for a morning - I think it was worth it.
