It's getting there!

The layering tutu design worked out really well, where I used a base of double-backed really stiff white tulle to give the entire skirt the right amount of flounce, then added the softer pink tulle on top in a three-layer gathered pattern before finishing off with white satin on top. The satin layer isn't hemmed yet in this photo, hence the rough edges.

I also liked how the wings came out; I their big enough to stick out the sides but light and unobtrusive enough not to interfere with dancing - I did a couple of pirroettes in them to see if the wind resistance messed me up at all, and they didn't. Yay!

Ugh, I need to get some clear straps! But tan was all I had lying around, so. .
