Remember that silver gun? Well I painted it black. I used a Krylon matte black paint, $0.99 a can. I used the whole can, you should too. I only got in one coat, I suggest two. I was going to coat it again then I asked myself, is this really going to work? So I tried gently sanding it. Before I knew it, I had sanded the whole thing. Sanding the entire thing brings out a nice metal sheen while it still being black. (Otherwise it looks too black.) Then I sanded more vigorously around the edges where I wanted them to look worn. Turned out well I think. Next is the tape around the center and the blue.
