Note to self, don't use the dark craft foam unless you're painting something black. It took alot of coats of spray paint to cover the dark brown. This is before adding the patina (making the metal look aged). Oh, and to cover the texture of the wonderflex, I used multiple layers of gloss mod podge wet sanded between every 5 coats (I think there are about 12 on each piece) The mod podge can be bent without chipping, seals the craft foam really well, bonds to the wonderflex way better than I expected, plus it's way cheaper and easier to find than gesso or friendly plastic.
