Repeat steps 5 and 6 with the rest of the fiber, strand by strand. Place the second strand next to the first, overlapping it a bit and CROSSING it at the 'peak' of the odango.

Keep going in one direction so you cover up the surface systematically, inch by inch. Do not let the fiber criss-cross randomly, or you'll end up with a messy odango.

Remember to use enough hairspray on both the underside and top side of the fiber, and shape it tightly around the odango. Always make sure the foundation is firm and neatly wrapped before you continue with the next strand.
