Myself as an Yoshitaka Amano version of Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII. Photo taken by Al [Eurobeat King] at Katsucon 2009. This is the costume I've been busting my bum over for weeks and it sadly didn't get anywhere near completion for the convention. The main garments are mostly finished, but there is a gregarious amount of detailing and accessorizing left to do. Still, I was very happy with what I had accomplished for Katsucon. The jacket and bodice are fully-lined, and about 60 hours of hand-beading and custom painting have gone into the costume thus far. Things left to finish: Wig, beading on the scarves, jacket, and bodice, STAFF STAFF STAFF, belt, and belt accessories. Seems like such a short list, but I should definitely have over 200 hours into this sucker by the time I'm happy. ^__^; This is the only shot that has turned up thus far, so many thanks to Al for snagging it!

Oh, and as embarrassed as I am to admit this, a friend lured me into entering the hall contest at the last moment, and I ended up somehow receiving a judge's award. I felt it was extremely undeserved [especially given how HOLYCRAPINCOMPLETE the costume is], but it gives me the extra push to continue with my beading!
