This photo personally creeps me out.



For this shot here, I've been told I look "craggy"...which is supposed to be a good thing? It's partially intentional make-up, partially me still not knowing exactly how to apply make-up, and partially the genetic misfortune that is my random ethnic heritage. Oh yeah, and also partially Elemental's lighting wizardry...which all combines into a serviceable reproduction of Xigbar.
So, for reference, -this- is why I haven't gone anywhere in public without a hat &/or wig for like 15 years, and have never tied my hair back ever. Cuz my head is malformed! It's like this extended oval face (which is supposed to be desirable) except I have -no- cranium. Just a face stuck on a neck. But as karma would have it, Xigbar himself also has an overly odd head.

So yeah, it's okay if my Xig isn't exactly flattering. That means I'm doing it right. XD


I do think this is a beautiful composition for the photo itself, though. I particularly love the unintended curved shadow from the railing looking very much like a tendril of Darkness, or maybe a bend in space itself.
