So I herd you liek rolled hems

I read Watchmen last year after Comic Con, after hearing about how it was the only graphic novel to make TIME's list of 100 greatest novels. Being a graphic novelist myself, that's high praise for a comic, and it didn't disappoint. I found myself analyzing the book the same way I was forced to do in my high school literature classes. What is it about Dan's Nite Owl costume that gives him his potency? How does Jon's loss of his own humanity represent the rest of the world's loss of humanity? How does Rorschach's black and white view of the world make him the good guy or the bad guy? Watchmen is one of those books you can read over and over again and get something new and different out of it after every read, and I highly encourage anyone who is the least bit interested in comics (and those who aren't!) to pick it up.

As for the costume, I originally was interested in doing Silk Spectre II, but I decided that A) I didn't have the skills necessary to make a latex body suit, and B) I simply don't have the body or slight build for a costume like that. Sally Jupiter was a much more flattering costume for my figure, and the 40's pinup style was definitely appealing to me.
