So I finally got the top coat on(a couple of layers actually) and glued the trim! I was going by the statue as a reference and unfortunately I couldn't find copper colored trim. I didn't want to go solid gold either cause I thought it was too far in the wrong direction. I settled for this mix of gold and oxblood because I felt the oxblood would be able to tie in nicely with the rest of the costume since there are pieces of the same color. It made a worthy back up choice.
