What length of wig did you use for the base?

I used a New Look Cleo 601 as a base wig. I wouldn't recommend it though, it didn't come out how I wanted it to as a result. It's plenty thick, though, if that's your concern.

Ah, thanks ^^ I'm just working on a wig with a similar style to that. So what would you recommend?

Kitsoru replied on 07-05-2010 at 07:19 PM:

Honestly I would recommend just biting the bullet and starting with a super long wig like a Godiva or Ivy (or any one of long straight wigs from the new Japanese line, depending on your color and bang needs and anything else important to your style), sewing in a ton of extra wefts, and braiding it all up.

I did what I did because I didn't feel like sewing wefts in, but in the end, that's what I should have done.

Awesome, thanks for the help!

Take a hair straightener and melt the ends together :] It'll tak a while to do all of it, but it would work!

That's actually something I was considering! I wasn't sure if it would make the fiber too brittle though. I'll test it and see!
