This will be worn over a painted cloth glove with segmented fingers attached. Still needs some touch up :)

Wow, thanks both of you! Here's the "quick" explanation, hehe:

I started by cutting out pieces of cardstock and craft foam (foamies) in the right shape, glued the cardstock into the shape of the bracer and then covered with the craft foam. I cut out thin strips of craft foam in the shapes of the gold detailing and glued those on too as guidelines for later. After, the foam was sealed with 10 layers of 1/2 white glue 1/2 water. The gold ridging was done with paperclay and then sanded to be as even as possible. Once the sanding was done I sprayed the whole thing with several coats of primer then used Pewter and European Gold Rub'n'Buff for the colors!

I painted the gloves and finger segments recently too so I'll put up a picture of the completed glove/bracer soon
