For years I've put off making her yellow outfit because of personal insecurities, but I've lately found myself subscribing to a new philosophy: "I've wanted to do this outfit for 5 years. If I put it off for ANOTHER 5 years, I'll be 30. Just do the damn outfit!" And so, despite feeling like a hippo in a yellow thong, I survived cosplaying "Yellow Faye." All aspects of the costume were handmade except for the jacket, which was a lucky find at Goodwill. Miles' Spike was incredibly last minute. It was literally pulled together in a matter of 3.5 hours from a gargantuan women's suit, a few scraps of fabric, and a wig that I had luckily purchased but not styled. I truly wish we had taken a "before" picture, because the suit was laughably enormous and not at all Spike-like. ^__^; I'm hoping to find time to make him a suit from scratch before Otakon. I ran this through Photoshop because Faye should not have bags under her eyes from slaving over costumes for weeks and weeks, and because I like stark contrasts and grung effects when it comes to Bebop.
